Former Tullis Russell Paper Mill, Glenrothes

Site Details

The site was acquired in 2016 and with its history as a papermill and former mining use this required an extensive remediation strategy together with the delivery of infrastructure to allow occupation of end users.

Extending to over 140 acres the site originally comprised buildings and infrastructure associated with the former Tullis Russell Papermill. Part of the mill site was previously re-developed as a Biomass Plant which replaced Tullis Russells previous coal and gas fired plant.

The redevelopment of this flagship site provides a unique opportunity to redefine Glenrothes Town Centre as a place to work, play, visit and live by the delivery of a new mixed use district.

At the heart of the site is the reclamation of former brownfield land which will contribute to a new signature area of open space that will allow connection to the wider town centre.

Since securing a planning consent a significant investment programme has commenced allowing delivery of several serviced and platformed development parcels enabling for housing.
